Sedgie return to the Wok for a league encounter with Winlaton
DN2 action is back after a week off and 5th placed and Junior cup finalists Winlaton Vulcans provide opposition. The away fixture yielded a losing bonus point after a great effort despite playing 60 mins with 14 men after a red card. We will need to have better discipline on Saturday if we are to stop the Men in black doing the double over us again.
The Opposition
Winlaton have been consistent and picked up regular wins but surprisingly were beaten by Darlington a couple of weeks ago. They have a strong well drilled pack but can be dangerous out wide too so we know we need to be focused in all areas to keep them at bay.
Team News
Buoyed by a positive result at Blyth its great to be able to select with a bit more consistency, but there are still changes in the front row with Ollie Barker unavailable Dan Lawson moves back up to the front row with James Watson and Richie Wood. Paul Wilkinson replaces Anth Smyth to pair up with Pedro Gray in the 2nd row while the back row sees Paul McCormack return to the starting pack with Will Johnson and Ollie Lines.
The Back line only has one change with Nathan Waterhouse unavailable giving Michael Shepherd a chance to reclaim the 9 jersey. Chris Dawson, Lawrence Oliver, Adam Grieve, Jack Sellers, Ryan Towler and Owen Robinson complete a settled back line.
On the bench Graham Brennan replaces Kev Vaughan who is injured and Chris Lowe comes in with Andy Shepherd covering the backs.
Its important to try and get something from the game, a win would likely preserve our DN2 status for another season with games running out for the teams below us we are nearly there.
