Sedgie travel to Guisbrough
Sedgefields 1st XV make the journey to Guisbrough still searching for their first points of the season in round 6 of the DN2 campaign. Despite our difficult start Sedgefield will keep at it and hope we can start picking up some points soon.
The Opposition
Guis are expected to be a strong outfit after their level transfer from the Yorkshire leagues, they have had a mixed start having lost to Ponteland and Ryton away, but they are thus far undefeated at home having taken victories over Hartlepool, Whitby and Darlington at Belmangate so far.
Team News
Sedgie have some injuries to contend with, Mark Baldwins suspected concussion last week rules him out for a minimum of 3 weeks while Danny Wolfe discovered a fracture in his shoulder that will rule him out until November at the earliest. This is on top of Kyle Smith, Anth Smyth, Josh Hetherington, Michael Shepherd and Daniel Lawson all unavailable after last week.
Kevin Vaughan returns to start at prop alongside James Watson and Michael Bishop in the front row. Their are welcome returns for Peter Gray and Kyle Sutcliffe in the 2nd row and in the back row, Paul McCormack, Dom Ryan and Will Johnson complete a mobile looking pack.
In the backs, Nathan Waterhouse continues at 9 with Owen Robinson moving from 15 to 10. Phil Dawson returns from the back row to centre and will be partnered by Lawrence Oliver. On the wings there is a more than a hint of ginger with Ryan Towler and Josh Hodgson out wide. David Galloway is another welcome return at full back.
The finishers are Rich Wood, Seb Wilkins and Andy Shepherd
