Sedge name a large squad for the pre-season visit to Stockton RFC, despite the unavailability of some of last seasons first team regulars due to injury, farming and holidays.

15 new players through the door over the summer will hopefully give us greater strength in depth which is vital for a small club such as ours

Looking forward to Thursday as we attempt to get an upset win over a club who are amongst the favourites to gain promotion this season in the league above. Stockton have recruited strongly over the summer, with several ex-professionals returning to the club, The game will be against a 2nd XV as they will rest many of their 1st XV for a cup game on Saturday... We are under no illusions that this will be a tough game as we look to finalise our work ons for the league season ahead.

Also... Our cup game with Sunderland on 31st will be rearranged due to a fixture clash with the cricket club... Please keep an eye out for an alternative date for that one.
